Dr. Yunus-the Nobel Peace Prize Winner 2006

Finally the much awaited moment as arrived. Dr. Mohammad Yunus and his dreamchild Grameen Bank won this year's Nobel Peace Prize. This banker to the poor has been rightfully awarded the peace prize. The reasoning is simple, reduction of poverty via micro-credit reduces social unrest, and thus increases social stability and peace. Hungry souls are angry souls, we all know. Therefore, when common people have a decent standard of living, it becomes easier for them to be law abiding and peaceful. Dr. Yunus put Bangaldesh back on the world map. We all are proud of him.
