Emile Zola(1840-1902):A Moment of Human Conscience

"Emile Zola(1840-1902):A Moment of Human Conscience" I have recently watched a movie 'The Life of Emile Zola'. I literally had to shed couple of tear-drops when, at Zola's funeral, Anatole France declared, "He was a moment of the human conscience". At the height of name, fame and glory, Zola took the side of a wrongfully convicted person and fought against the huge state machinery of France. These are the moments that separate pro-truth forces from pro-establishment puppets. It is really not easy to risk a person's lifetime achievements by angering the establishment just to see that an injustice done to another man is undone and justice is reinstated. This type of people always has been rare species in any given society, but, we need them badly to make this world yet habitable. Zola and alike are really Candles against the Winds who carry the baton of humanity across generations. My tribute to the memory of Zola and to the alike to come. A very good movie to watch to be inspired by.
